Dr. Brian E. Haggard is the Director of Arkansas Water Resources Center and Professor in the Biological and Agricultural Engineering Department at the University of Arkansas. In 2000, he received his Ph.D. in Biosystems Engineering from Oklahoma State University. The Center uses its resources to help address water research needs in Arkansas, where Dr. Haggard’s research focuses on water quality and how it’s changing.
Erin Scott is the Program Manager for the Arkansas Water Resources Center, where she’s worked since the fall of 2013. She completed a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science, studying biogeochemical cycling in aquatic ecosystems in the spring of 2013. Erin’s role is managing the 104B research funding, directing the student interns, and helping transfer info to the public through the website, social media, newsletters, digital library and an annual conference.
Dr. Brad Austin is a Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering. He received his doctoral degree from the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Arkansas in May of 2015. As a research associate, Brad is responsible for collecting water samples across the region, managing research projects focused on water quality, and communicating this info through fact sheets and journal articles.
